Atwood Champion Model H, 1946, original, complete, very good condition, crank case exhibits marks of the original die, wear - this is not abnormal and the 'case' is sound. Very good compression. Using 14 x 6 Precedent "Smart" wood prop, and 2:1 petrol/oil gave 5000 rpm. For starting, time arm set at 9 o'clock and n/v 2T open. For run, timer arm advanced to 10 o'clock and needled down to less than 1T open. Again, 1/2 choking the venturi, aided starting. |

N/V setting, 3 ¥ T open for run, 5T open for start. Intriguingly starting improved by 1/2 choking venturi, employing half round balsa plug. |
