As part of our on-going review of the COVID-19 outbreak and its subsequent effect on the Art and Antiques market, the following services offered by Gildings shall be affected.
The office remains closed to the public, although will be staffed. If you have any queries please do feel free to email us on email@example.com or call 01858 410 414 - we will be pleased to hear from you.
We are at present unable to provide face-to-face valuations in-house, but are still able to provide guidance remotely. We are already well equipped to handle the majority of valuations in this format – be it via images submitted through the website, or directly via email to firstname.lastname@example.org .
In accordance with strict operating procedures for external house visits, this service shall be resuming from the week commencing 18th May. It is essential that these are pre-booked appointments with acknowledgment of our terms of engagement and COVID-19 compliance procedures. Please call to book appointments on 01858 410414 with one of our Valuations team.
Video calls can be booked for larger quantities for those familiar with that technology; do contact us to arrange a suitable time to talk to one of our valuers.
See our Valuations pages for more information.
At present we are unable to offer transport services but hope to resume this service in the near future once restrictions are lifted and procedures clarified.
Lots purchased from past auctions can be collected by courier strictly by appointment. Collections must be arranged 24 hours in advance and within our temporary hours of between 10am and 3pm, Monday to Friday. Invoices must be settled in full in advance. As always, any third party collecting on the buyer's behalf must be named prior to their arrival, or lots shall not be released.
We shall not be open on Monday 25th for the late May Bank Holiday.
As a family run company, with a great many valued clients, community is at the heart of what we do. Now, more than ever, that sense of community is crucial. So, rest assured, we are here to help in any way that we can. Any changes to our working practices will be posted on our Facebook page and website, so please do check these for the latest updates.
Best wishes from us at,
