Explore our summer Jewellery, Watches & Accessories auction

24/06/2026

Our next Jewellery, Watches & Accessories sale takes place on Tuesday, 30th June at 10:30am, with almost 600 wonderful lots on offer.

The sale encompasses Victorian craftsmanship, Art Deco style, bold modern design, vintage gold jewellery and much more.

VIctorian diamond brooch and diamond bracelet

Diamonds to dazzle and delight

Spectacular diamonds take centre stage, including the opportunity to acquire two fine pieces specially designed to move with their wearer. A stunning diamond flower brooch is made using the intricate en-tremblant technique, in which parts of the brooch are mounted on tiny springs to flutter with the wearer like a flower in a breeze, for maximum sparkle and impact.

Derived from the French ‘to leap’, a Belle Époque early 20th century seed pearl and diamond sautoir is a long necklace with decorative tassels designed to swing gracefully with the movements of its wearer. Designed to fall below the dropped waistlines of 1920s fashion, it is a striking example of a style that rarely comes up at auction. With a similar example appearing the same week at the prestigious Treasure House Fair at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, this is a fantastic opportunity to acquire one at auction.

Bracelets also feature, including a showstopping diamond bracelet set with an incredible 134 marquise, pear and brilliant cut stones, alongside a half-hinged bangle set with eleven old brilliant cut diamonds and a further 21 old cut diamonds, both destined to adorn new wrists.

Rosemary Heatherington jewellery and Effy ring

A menagerie of jewellery

Those wishing to express an affinity to their favourite animal are spoiled for choice. Well known equine jewellery designer Rosemary Heatherington’s distinctive ‘sculpture to wear’ pieces are represented with a gold pendant and chain, two brooches and a set of cufflinks.

Dolphins, seahorses, zebras and panthers are featured in items by the popular American fine jewellery maker Effy, while those who love lizards can bid on an emerald, diamond, and ruby brooch or a gem-set pendant on a gold chain.

De Haviland Watch and Enamel Fob Watch

Timepieces to watch

Boxed wristwatches acquired from aviation and motor sporting events are expected to start the bidding engines. A De Havilland gentleman's DH-02 titanium quartz chronograph wristwatch purchased at a De Havilland aircraft exhibition at Woburn Abbey is expected to fly away. For those with more grounded tastes, a Montblanc gentleman's Timewalker limited edition Goodwood Festival of Speed chronograph wristwatch, acquired at the festival in the summer of 2019, is also expected to race off on the day.

As always, the sale includes a great many timepieces from across the eras including an 18-carat gold fob watch, featuring a bow, an enamel depiction of a Swiss lake and mountain and a 1908 London import hallmark. An 18-carat gold fob watch and chain with a striking blue enamel decoration set with rose cut diamonds is another opportunity to acquire a fine antique fob watch.

Trio of antique brooches

Antique appeal and modern flair

As ever, the auction offers second hand jewellery for all tastes and budgets. A garnet brooch and matching drops and an Etruscan style brooch set with pale pink and green stones will appeal to those who appreciate the Victorian aesthetic, while an Alabaster & Wilson floral design gem-set brooch is a great opportunity to acquire pre owned jewellery by one of Birmingham’s leading heritage fine jewellers.

Art Deco never goes out of style and a highlight from the era is an Odeon style citrine and diamond fur clip in a vintage Pearce & Sons, Leicester box. Fans of 20th century modern design have the opportunity to own an 18-carat yellow gold and diamond bangle and brooch designed by Gillian Packard, a trailblazing designer famous for taking the 1960s jewellery scene by storm.

Regimental Waterloo brooch and Queen Charlotte pendant

From the regimental to the royal

A rare historical piece with a story to tell comes from Georgian times. The 1789 ‘Recovery from Illness’ medallion was commissioned by Queen Charlotte and parliament to celebrate King George III’s return to health following one of his well-documented mental and physical crises. The enamel and yellow gold medallion is inscribed 'Regi Amato Reduci / Vivat G III R / Mart X MDCCLXXXIX'.

For those with an interest in regimental history, a Royal Scots Greys diamond set sweetheart brooch with a yellow and white metal French Eagle set with diamonds and a green enamel wreath, and a blue enamel Waterloo legend is sure to catch the eye. Strong interest is also expected in an enamel and diamond-set Royal Army Medical Corps sweetheart brooch and stick pin dating from 1896.

The Jewellery, Watches & Accessories auction takes place at 10:30am on Tuesday 30 June, with in-person and online bidding available.
