Introducing our new Appointment booking system

29/06/2020

With recent changes to restrictions, we are pleased to be in a position to welcome you back to the Saleroom for future sale Viewings, Collections, and Consignments.

The continued safety of visitors and staff is our continued priority and so there will be notable changes to your visit. First and foremost we have to limit the number of visitors at any one time. Regrettably, we are still not able to host people bidding live on auction day. However, you are welcome to come and view all auctions by timed appointment. All Collections for purchases and Vendor Returns are also to be conducted by appointment only. Equally, if you have had a valuation via our website or email, you can arrange a time to drop-off your items “contact-less”.

You can book your own Appointments if you have a “My Gildings” account using our new Appointments feature on the Gildings website. The system is now live and viewing times can be booked for the 13th and 14th July auctions.

  • If you are late for your booked slot, you may be asked to wait until a time is available to safely allow access
  • When time is called for your viewing slot, please depart the saleroom promptly so that cleaning and preparation for the next time slot is possible

Valuations

Where at all possible we ask clients to submit images via our website for an initial appraisal. If suitable for an auction you can book a time to drop the items off for us to then inspect them in person and confirm auction estimates and reserves in due course (items will be subject to a period of quarantine prior to handling). For certain items, such as jewellery, provisional estimates from images are not always possible. If it is the case that you cannot send images, or have items of jewellery to sell, do call us and one of the Valuers will be in contact to arrange an in house valuation appointment.

Online valuations and image upload is quick and easy and you do not need an account. Click here for Valuations
